Oh Sophie, my Sophie
What a breath of fresh air and goose that you are! We picked Sophie up on Sunday the 9th September 2012. Sophie is Friday's full sister from a subsequent mating of the same sire and dam. The two couldn't be more different though. Sophie is named after my first own dog, a Bearded Collie that I got when I was 11 years old.
Sophie was 8 1/2 weeks old when we picked her up, and she was a completely different kettle of fish to Friday. Ougoing, relaxed and inquisitive. And such a goose! She loves cats, and kids, and well, anyone really - unless you are on the other side of the front gate and she doesn't know you. Unless you have pizza, of course.
Sophie has done very well in the show ring, despite my lack of skill and knowledge (in my defense, this is improving). Sophie's biggest critique is her total chill-out-'til-playtime attitude. I am a physiotheraist by trade, and do on occasion bring Sophie with me to see children I am treating, or to the local nursing home. She is not phased by power wheelchairs, walkers or involuntary spastic movements; if there are pats and cuddles (and treats!) involved - she's there!
